Can you get skin cancer from tanning once through a tanning bed?

I have NEVER tanned before, but I wanted to try it.


Any Suggestions or Tips.............................?

Can you get skin cancer from tanning once through a tanning bed?
No only if you stay in the bed for too long or you go almost every day, I usually go every couple of days! Just dont go and get burnt! But one time wont hurt you.

Reply:only once, no, for short periods of time, no, still wear sunblok whenever you're exposed to the sun and try to never be more than 30 minutes.
Reply:I don't think you can get it if you only go once. But self tanners are much safer. I like gradual tanners like Jergins Natural Glow.

Reply:don't start. i swear to god, tanning is the worst thing you can do to your skin. even just being in the sun unprotected can harm your skin horribly. you can get skin cancer just from living on this planet and going outside durring the day. but, if you want to increase your risk, go ahead. go to a tanning salon and mutate your skin cells.
Reply:no you wont get cancer just from going once but if you go more and more then it could happen. same thing with the sun. the best thing to do is just not go to tanning booths and stay out of the sun as much as you can. your life isnt worth some stupid tan!
