Whats worse tanning in the sun or in a tanning bed??

Tanning period!

I just had a skin cancer removed (scary) and I have always tanned in beds case I thought they were safe. So now I'm on a crusade to get people to stop tanning!

Try a skin bronzer or spray tanning.

Whats worse tanning in the sun or in a tanning bed??
sun.
Reply:tanning beds are worse, if you want to get tan go outside put sunscreen on and tan, it's the safest way!
Reply:both are equally horrible. they cause immediate changes in the skin and cause free radicals. you can't see these...but after time, they will make themselves known. no sunscreen blocks this completely.
Reply:I think they are both bad the sun is probably better because it natural and wont make your skin all leathery but they both can give you skin cancer...
Reply:Tanning Beds.
Reply:The tanning bed, because you receive a large dose of UV radiation all at once. With the sun, you only recieve small amounts of radiation at a time.
Reply:Yep tanning can cause skin cancer so don't do it!!:0(
Reply:both are not good for you, but if you're like me and cant get enough of either one...i have always heard that tanning beds are fine as long as you dont go day after day after day and yearround. i have also heard that 20 minutes of the tanning bed is equivalent to 8 hours out on the beach. but both always make me feel better mentally and physically.
Reply:take it from the horse's mouth ... as long as you are browner than you were be4 and a little happier ... it's all good in the hood.
Reply:Both are bad

I read a COSMOgirl Magazine, they say a tanning bed is worse.
Reply:tanning boths have either UVB OR UVA rays and you can regulate the sun exposure.

tanning outside is generally when you burn because you can't say how long you will stay outside depending on many factors. natural sun produces a different color to your skin, which i prefer.

you can do a bit of both but use regularity and don't overexpose yourself.

i've tanned since i was young (now too!) and i'm in my 30s now but still look like low 20s because i take care of my skin daily. that's most important.
Reply:Both arent good for ur health at all
